Khondker Talha new Bangladesh Ambassador to France

Khondker M. Talha, currently the director general of East Asia and Pacific Wing (MoFA), has been appointed the next ambassador of Bangladesh to France by the government.   Talha, a career foreign service officer from Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), Foreign Affairs Cadre, was announced by the MoFA today.   He served in the UN's permanent missions to Bangladesh, New York and Geneva. There he was elected to the Bureau of several UN and international organisations.   He was also sent to London and Tehran missions for Bangladesh.   In his previous stints at headquarters, he was the Chief of Protocol. He also served in various capacities at South Asia and Multilateral Economic Affairs wings.   Talha has a master's degree in economics, an MBA from IBA Dhaka University, and another master's in foreign affairs, trade, and international affairs from Monash University in Melbourne. http://tyl777.com http://linestudio.co.il/ http://desertadventuregroup.com/ https://ca...

BYLC initiates Volunteer Award

Thursday saw the launch of BYLC Volunteer Awards by Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre: Pandemic Heroes 2021. A release said that the winners were chosen from submissions by over 800 people and more than 70 organizations in 64 districts across the country. These awards were created to recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations working in the community for the prevention of pandemics. BYLC hopes to foster partnerships between youth changemakers, members of the community, and other stakeholders in order to support the government's vision to achieve Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The criteria used to determine the winners were their contributions, impact, reach and engagement in both individual and organisation submissions. The individual category won ten winners. The top three volunteer organizations received grants of Tk 25.000, Tk 20,000 and Tk 15,000 respectively.
